We aim to set up engagements with hybrid-teams of experienced consultants and high-achieving staff. We do this because delivering the change is important and investing in future leaders results in bigger long-term impacts.
We work closely with each team member to understand current capability and backgrounds, learning priorities and goals. The best learning occurs when people are self-driven because they have a personal connection to building the skill set.
The gap analysis provides us with a baseline and key priorities that we can develop a learning plan. Our learning plans are based on Bersin by Deloitte’s Four E2s of Continuous Learning.
We all know the best way to learn is by doing, so that’s where we start. The roles and responsibilities of embedded staff should be well aligned to the current project and the learning priorities. We then actively coach on the job, identify useful external training and media to solidify and formalise lessons.
The two delivery components are delivering the change, while also delivering on the learning plan. As a part of typical engagement reporting, we also report on the activities and progress being made against the learning plan. We continue to monitor our effectiveness and adjust our approach to improve learning outcomes.
